2008 After-School Arts at Fort Lewis Mesa

After-School Arts, an education program of the Durango Arts Center, offers terrific arts classes, creative concepts and projects for art-loving kids. Every Monday throughout the school year, Animas students can acquire new skills, learn new techniques, express ideas and feelings, and explore their own unique artistic personality. After-School Arts offerskids the opportunity to work with artists and art educators who are chosen for their dedication to education in the arts and their own particular strengths as artists.

To request a scholarship, please fill out and return our scholarship application available at the school office or on-line. If approved, your student can take our classes for the remainder of the school year if space is available. Monthly registration for each class is still required and attendance is mandatory.

You will only be contacted if your child cannot be accommodated in the class of your choice or if there is a scheduling change. Sorry, we cannot issue refunds for absences. Call 259-2606 for more information.

Your child will bring home class announcements in their Friday packets. Please use these and return to school office. If you have not received a notice, you may print one.
